Our locked hard coolers were tested and approved by the Interagency Grizzly Bear Committee. Make sure you utilize the bear proof locks to keep the grizzlies out.

Yes. In fact, our pitmasters use them to hold hot, fresh barbecue. The same insulation and thick walls that keep the cooler cold also keep the heat.
Yes. We recommend using soap and warm water. If you need a heavy-duty cleaning, use a 6:1 solution of warm water and bleach with a sponge or mildly abrasive rag.

Bought this for a trip to Aruba, used it as a carry on for the plane then as a cooler once we got to the resort. Just like all my other yetis it kept everything ice cold. We rented a boat for 7 hours and at the end of the day it still had ice and everything stayed cold all day. Used it another day by the pool and in the Aruba heat it kept everything cold even though we opened and closed it many times. ** wish the shoulder straps had more padding cause when it’s full of ice and beers it’s alittle rough on the shoulders ***
I received this from my wife for Father’s Day. It was christened two days ago on a canoe trip, used yesterday to bring food and beverages to a party, and it is still chilling some remaining beers and LaCroix for a fire on the patio tonight. I started by dumping the drawer of ice from our freezer’s ice maker into the cooler a few hours prior to adding cold beers and LaCroix for the canoe trip. I only opened the cooler when grabbing items out and immediately closed it. The ice is still going at 25% and drinks are ice cold after heavy use for three days in 70-90 degree temps. The backpack is very comfortable. If you understand the basic principles of how to use a cooler, buy with confidence. It is impressive for a lightweight backpack cooler.
Quality and functionality I expect from Yeti. Back pack straps were the main selling point. Used it multiple times on vacation from hauling drinks to the beach and riding my bike to the grocery store to bring back ice cream. The size seems perfect for day adventures.
